Financial Aid for FastForward Programs

Domiciled Virginia residents can earn an industry credential at a reduced cost of tuition for short-term training programs. Income eligible students can qualify for additional financial assistance that pays up to 100% of the cost of your training in high-demand programs in fields like IT, healthcare and the skilled trades!

Financial advising is available to help you explore your financial aid options. It is easy to qualify for one of the following funding resources:
WORKFORCE CREDENTIALS GRANT (WCG) FUNDING 15 AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS WHO DOMICILE IN VIRGINIA.
How it works: You pay the first 1/3 of the class tuition when you register. The Commonwealth of Virginia pays 1/3 when you complete the class. The final 1/3 is paid by the Commonwealth of Virginia when you earn a high-demand industry credential. If the student does not complete the FastForward program successfully, they will be billed for the second 1/3. If you qualify for WCG, you may be eligible for one of the following to help with the student 1/3 cost:
FANTIC (FINANCIAL AID FOR NONCREDIT TRAINING LEADING TO INDUSTRY CREDENTIALS)
The Financial Aid for Noncredit Training leading to Industry Credentials (FANTIC) program provides funding for students who are income-eligible and interested in enrolling in a FastForward program. Funding is limited and is offered to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Students must complete a CVCC FANTIC Application and submit all requested forms and information before being considered for assistance. This funding covers the student 1/3.

GJ (GET SKILLED, GET AJOB, GET AHEAD)
G3 is a tuition assistance program for any Virginia resident who qualifies for in-state financial aid and whose family income falls below an identified threshold. G3 can be used for designated programs in five of Virginia’s most
in-demand industries: Early Childhood Education, Healthcare, Information Technology, Public Safety, and Skilled Trades. This funding covers the student 1/3.

TOBACCO COMMISSION SCHOLARSHIPS (THIS FUNDING IS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE CVCC EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION.)
Thanks to a generous annual grant from the Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission there are several scholarship types available to CVCC students who live in Appomattox, Bedford, or Campbell Counties, or any of the other nearby tobacco region counties such as Pittsylvania, Halifax, and Charlotte. This funding covers half of the student 1/3.
