Purpose:
An Associates of Arts and Sciences in Science prepares the student to transfer to a four-year college or university to major in the sciences. It provides the student with the course work and skills needed to pursue further study in biology, chemistry, physics, geology, biomedical sciences, environmental science, neuroscience, and more.
An Associates of Arts and Sciences in Science - Life Sciences Specialization prepares the student to transfer to a fouryear college or university to major in the sciences. It provides the student with the course work and skills needed to pursue further study in biology, chemistry, biomedical sciences, neuroscience, and more.
An Associates of Arts and Sciences in Science - Physical Sciences Specialization prepares the student to transfer to a four-year college or university to major in the sciences. It provides the student with the course work and skills needed to pursue further study in chemistry, physics, geology, environmental science, and more.
Admissions Requirements:
Individuals are eligible for admission to CVCC if they are high school graduates or the equivalent, or if they are eighteen years of age or older and able to benefit academically from study at the community college, as demonstrated by assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics.
Program Requirements:
All students expected to complete the requirements for a degree, diploma, certificate, or career studies certificate must complete an Application for Graduation.
