Purpose:
The General Clerical Career Studies Certificate is designed for the student who desires training in basic office processes. Upon completion of the program, the student may seek an entry-level position such as receptionist, file clerk, and more. This program leads into the Administrative Management Technology AAS degree.
Courses in this program fulfill requirements for the Administrative Management Technology AAS degree. The General Clerical Career Studies Certificate program alone is not eligible for financial aid. Interested students should consult a counselor for further information.
Admissions Requirements:
Individuals are eligible for admission to CVCC if they are high school graduates or the equivalent, or if they are eighteen years of age or older and able to benefit academically from study at the community college, as demonstrated by assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics.
Program Requirements:
Access to a computer that meets or exceeds the PC Specifications for Non-Technical Programs. All students expected to complete the requirements for a degree, diploma, certificate, or career studies certificate must complete an Application for Graduation.
