Purpose:
An Associate of Science in Science prepares the student to transfer to a four-year college or university to major in the sciences. It provides the student with the course work and skills needed to pursue further study in biology, chemistry, physics, geology, biomedical sciences, environmental science, neuroscience, and more.
Transfer Virginia:
This program is aligned with the Transfer Virginia Science AS common curriculum. Students are strongly encouraged to consult with their academic advisor and review program options using the Transfer Virginia Portal (www.transfervirginia.org).
Admissions Requirements:
Individuals are eligible for admission to CVCC if they are high school graduates or the equivalent, or if they are eighteen years of age or older and able to benefit academically from study at the community college, as demonstrated by assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics.
Program Requirements:
All students expected to complete the requirements for a degree, diploma, certificate, or career studies certificate must complete an Application for Graduation.
